Chinese New Year Sword Demonstration

First of all, I had to take these in the dark with a small digital camera and no tripod or anything, so some aren't very good. I tried to take pictures when they stopped moving between actions.

On Waitangi Day, it was also the Chinese new year, for the year of the rat. And so the bujutsu club that my Mum and husband are in was asked to do a demonstration again. They do a lot of demonstrations, but afterwards we went for beer, so that's alright. ;)

First, this is a bad picture of the area where they did the demonstration, just to maybe provide some more context (but not much).
And here's everyone (maybe; there could be someone standing to the side of the picture). The Sensei (Phil) is in the front, talking to the crowd - it wasn't a very big crowd this year for the whole celebration, unfortunately.
Two shots of my Mum with the naginata, and Gary with the sword.

Two shots of Gary and the Sensei with swords doing a partner exercise of some type.

It's quite funny how many weapons everyone has - Gary had 3 swords, and I think Mum had 2-3 swords, a naginata and a dagger. The naginata, dagger and half the swords are wood.

Also, the swords are very very shiny.
